By supporting Queer Town, you're supporting a
small business that's queer-led and Australian-based.
Since being founded in 2018, Queer Town’s LGBTIQA+ inclusivity workshops have reached thousands of Australians in workplaces, schools and events across the country. In 2022, we even reached the shores of Singapore!
Queer Town’s mission is to ensure that LGBTIQA+ Australians can focus on their work when they’re on the job, concentrate on their studies when they’re at school and enjoy the experience when they’re at events - without feeling out of place, unwelcome or discriminated against.
To achieve this, we’re creating structural and cultural changes in workplaces, schools and events across the country through the delivery of our educational workshops.
These highly engaging workshops are built upon Australian research and we use a strengths-based learning framework to ensure participants can engage with the content in a safe, productive and judgement-free environment.
What separates our sessions from others is our focus on the human element of this education, extending beyond the statistics to grow empathy and understanding for the day-to-day experiences of LGBTIQA+ Australians and uncover the WHY of allyship, as well as the HOW.
A few of Queer Town's clients include: Slack, The Australian Ballet, Federation Square, General Assembly, St Leonard’s College, Pitcher Partners and The Outdoor Education Group.
In 2022, 97.5% of our workshop participants said they felt better equipped to create a safer environment for their LGBTIQA+ peers after having a Queer Town workshop and 100% of our workshop participants said they would recommend a Queer Town workshop to other organisations.
