six chapters of essential learning

  • Meet Archie Beetle (they/them), Queer Town’s Founder, CEO and Lead Educator, and learn what LGBTIQA+ inclusion training is and why it’s important.

  • We’ll explore the distinct differences between sex, gender and sexuality, unpack the LGBTIQA+ acronym and more key terms.

  • Ever heard of the 2013 Sex Discrimination Act Amendment? We take a look at federal and state legislation that protects LGBTIQA+ against discrimination in the workplace.

  • What are pronouns? Why are they important? How do I use pronouns correctly? What if I mess up?

Archie covers this along with examples of conversation scripts for you to try.

  • Law (she/her) shares a poignant personal audio story about her experiences as a queer woman and parent raising a rainbow family.

  • Get all the tips and strategies you need to take your allyship to the next level, at work and beyond.

safe work starts with inclusion

Under Australian law, employers have a positive duty to prevent harm, including discrimination, harassment, and exclusion based on gender, sexuality or identity.

LGBTIQA+ 101 helps you meet key workplace obligations by:

✅ Addressing psychosocial hazards under Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) laws

✅ Supporting your positive duty under the Sex Discrimination Act

✅ Helping create a workplace free from discrimination and harassment

✅ Providing SCORM-compatible records to support audits and onboarding

This is about more than checkbox compliance. It’s real learning that makes real change, at scale.
